Who were Egyptian Gods?
Ancient Egyptians Believed in many gods who were thought to
help them daily. The Gods were thought to be the makers of creation: they made
the River Nile flood every year: they helped the wounded and looked after the
dead in the underworld once they had died and they offered protection when
needed.
There lots of different types of gods, some were more powerful than others and some were very minor gods that not many people thought about often but still played a major roll in life.

Why were the gods important?
In ancient Egypt the gods were a very important part of peoples lives. To egyptians the gods were said to have brought the floods each year which provide the desert with water. They also help in everyday life like, Tutu the God of dreams was said to protect sleeping souls from bad dreams and Thoth God of knowledge, learning and scrolls was said to have taught Egyptians many useful methods and life skills.
